Pistachio Macarons

I made loads of pistachio paste and was looking for inspiration to use them. Pistachio Macarons sounds really tempting and so I made them! The pistachio buttercream was made a week in advance so I can space out the work. Today, I focused on make the pistachio shells and assembled the complete product.

I hope that I can realise my dream really soon!:)

The chopped pistachio on top really improved the aesthetic of the Macarons. They taste good too! Bringing them to cell group tonight, hope they'll be well received. :)

Red Bean Filling

Cooked and sweetened red beans are so versatile! They can be used in cakes, pastries and desserts. I used up a batch already and this is the second batch. My recent favourite is to put a spoon or 2 in my overnight oats, so yummy! Here's a photo of the lovely red beans. ;)

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. (Psalm 27:4 NIV)

Chestnut Azuki pound

I made too much red bean as usual, so I need to research new recipes to use them up, I think chestnut will go well with the redbeans, yes?

They're really really good! Dense, but not overly sweet.
