Happy Birthday to Me! Super delayed

This post is so delayed because I was a bit disappointed with my very badly decorated cake. Posting the 3 cakes to celebrate the improving outlook of the products.

Happy birthday to me! I'm going to bake a cake for myself, a really decorative cake that will take a few days and I'm really excited about it! Yes! An experiment to celebrate my birthday! 

I did the chocolate decoration, meringue drops and butter cream on one day, the orange butter cakes on another day and on the final day, the actual cake. Can't wait to finish the cake. Really! 

The cake didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Here's the really unpolished cake.

Then I tried again a week later. This time, the ganache was a weird blue:(. The ice-cream cone stayed on the cake though. I'm sure the third one will be successful! 

And then finally... After two failed attempts, I was asked to bake a cake for a friend in church and I made a rather successful one, though it turned out really girly. 

The process was fun, though a bit tiring and the buttercream was still not that smoothed out,  it's quite nice though not perfect yet. :)

I think I did pretty well. :)
