Of Bed, Guitar and 小笼包

I know it sounds really odd, but ya, I managed to combine all the elements that were requested. A good friend's friends wanted to surprise her with a bdae cake and asked that I bake her a cake. It's a salted egg flavoured cake and I hope it'll be well recieved! :)

The original pillows were blue and the husband said they looked like erasers:(, so I remade orange ones, hopefully they look more like pillows. 

The 小笼包 are cushions if I really want to fit them in the theme, hahaha. 

I don't know how the cake looks when cut, but here's a photo of the salted egg buttercream and custard to intensify the flavour.

So I did the salted eggs cupcakes and made it more fun by using syringes, pipe in your own filling! How fun is that? :)

Mothers' Day

All is good! After the rude shock realizing the whisk cannot fit into the mixer because there was a really tiny chip, managed to replace it. So I set out to bake the long awaited black glutinous rice cake. Along the way, I got distracted and bake some Ondeh Ondeh cakes as well. Oh and went to learn how to put flowers together too!;)

It's liberating to reallse that you have really let go and whatever's done cannot hurt you anymore. Thank God. :)

Horror is when you have measured the ingredients, preheated the oven and realised your whisk is damaged?!?!!!!!!
